An archetypal specimen of Pyromorphite from the famous Les Farges Mine, France. This small cabinet Pyromorphite is an open aggregate of prismatic crystals, with extensive parallel growth forming a forest of crystals measuring to 2.2cm tall. The crystals are terminated by hopper development giving the Pyromorphite a castellated appearance. The crystals are very lustrous with a deep mustard yellow colouration. Adding further to the specimen are two tabular orange micro-crystals of Wulfenite. The Les Farges Pyromorphite specimens are noted to be occasionally associated with Wulfenite crystals. A pretty specimen.
