A very fine specimen of Pyrrhotite from the famous Nikolaevskiy Mine, Russia. The main tabular Pyrrhotite crystals measure to 4.5cm by 0.5cm thick; forming an open sub-parallel group. The larger crystals display extensive formation of smaller crystals rosettes on the major pseudo-hexagonal faces. The specimen has a fine deep bronze to bright bronze metallic luster. The light reflecting from the many crystal rosettes faces. The specimen stands and displays to advantage.
