A very unusual and aesthetic Quartz specimen featuring a 'bowtie' growth of prismatic Quartz with two attachments; a doubly terminated Quartz crystal measuring to 1.8cm almost forming a sceptre on one side of the Quartz bowtie, with a coating of crystalline Calcite preferentially on one side; and a rhombohedral Dolomite crystal entirely coated with a parallel growth of Calcite crystals. The specimen is very lustrous and transparent. From the Cassandra Mines, Greece.
