An excellent specimen displaying intergrown Quartz epimorphs of Fluorite, each to 2.4cm on edge, with a further Epimorph at one side. The Quartz epimorphs have faithfully retained the cubic form of the pre-existing Fluorite crystals, around which the Quartz grew. The translucent white epimorphs are on a earlier phase of white Quartz of drusy habit, which itself overgrows Quartz crystals measuring up to 2.5cm. To finish the specimen off the Quartz epimorphs are richly adorned with modified cubic crystals of bright metallic Pyrite crystals. Judging from the overall appearance of the specimen and the Quartz veinstone the specimen may have come from the Menheniot area of Cornwall. A fine specimen of its type.
