An attractive specimen of Quartz on Rhodochrosite with Pyrite from the Cassandra Mine, Macedonia, Greece. A sparkling translucent crystal druse of Quartz has completely covered a rhombic crystal of pink Rhodochrosite, measuring over all the Quartz coating to 3cm on edge. Several areas on the specimen show that the Quartz has completely replaced crystals of Rhodochrosite. A specimen also invested with strings and aggregates of striated bright metallic yellow Pyrite crystals. A brilliant specimen for display.
