Herodsfoot Mine classic tabular crystals of Baryte completely replaced by Quartz. Psuedomorphs of Quartz measure to 4.5cm forming an open inter grown group composed of pyramidal colourless to white crystals. Quartz crystals have been preferentially layered on one side by inter grown metallic lead grey crystals of Galena, interspersed with bright metallic yellow Chalcopyrite coating Tetrahedrite crystals. The underside of the specimen shows chestnut brown Siderite with cleavages of Tetrahedrite. A great specimen of Quartz after Baryte.
