Quartz Var Amethyst

ID: CC2615

A fairly recent occurrence of Amethyst came from the Maquar area in Afghanistan in 2006. The specimens were saved by the miners while extracting the gold associated with the Quartz. The specimen we have to offer is from that find. The single Amethyst crystal is sharply terminated with a fine purple colour. A small amount of matrix is attached. An aesthetic single crystal specimen of Amethyst from Afghanistan.
