Quartz Var Amethyst

A particularly deeply coloured Amethyst from the Geevor Mine, Cornwall. The lustrous crystals of Amethyst are well developed and measuring to nearly 1cm tall, covering the display face. Crystal colour becomes progressively deeper purple towards the terminations. The specimen sides show the typical crustyform colour banding of many Amethysts from Cornwall. A bright specimen from the mine.
