A beautiful specimen of Quartz in two varieties, as Amethyst with excellent development Windows. The Quartz specimen measures to a height of 10cm, with a gemmy pleasing light purple colour, and inclusions of a white clay mineral quite common for the Quartz window variety. The underside of the specimen has green platy crystals of Chlorite with rusty coloured Goethite. A very fine specimen from the area of Morchner in the Austrian Tyrol.
