A fantastic group of Smoky Quartz crystals from the famous Swiss area of St. Gotthard. The wonderfully gemmy Quartz crystals are positioned in a number of angles about the specimen and measure to over 4cm tall. The Quartz have a pleasing light smoky colour and excellent luster. The crystals are left handed with well formed prism and pyramid faces. Crystals of Adularia are seen grown in a parallel fashion near the base of one of the Quartz crystals. The Adularia are thinly covered in green Chlorite, very typical of Alpine Adularia. A fine specimen of Smoky Quartz from the area. The specimen comes with an old handwritten label. There are some very minor marks on the terminations, but this is reflected in the price. Overall a beautiful gemmy piece, accompanied by old labels.
