Ralstonite on Thomsenolite

ID: CC723
Lustrous frost-white crystallised Thomsenolite matrix has at one corner the surface of an exposed vug on which octahedral Ralstonite crystals are present. The Thomsenolite has slightly dendritic form on the rear of the specimen, and cubo-cubic form elsewhere. The Ralstonite crystals are lustrous white with tiny spherical iron oxides sprinkled over them, and a partial iron oxide coating tinting them yellow to brown. The crystals measure to 4mm. Excellent display of this rare mineral from its type location, accompanied by a label from The Mineralogical and Geological Museum of The University of Copenhagen.
