Superbly formed rich Rhodochrosite specimen with 'rice grain' crystals to 0.6cm tall. The specimen comes from the classic German location of the Wolf Mine. The Rhodochrosite has a great salmon pink colour, and a satin-like luster. The crystals are associated with Malachite coated micro-crystals of Native Copper. The matrix is a mixture of yellow-brown to deep brown Goethite forming a shallow bowl in which the Rhodochrosite crystals have formed.
