A superb specimen of classic form Rhodochrosite from the Wolf Mine, Herdorf, Germany. A large cavity measuring to 4cm x 3cm in a typical vugy Goethite matrix. Is richly lined with rice-grain crystals of translucent silky lustered deep pink Rhodochrosite measuring to an impressive 1.1cm (relatively large for the location). Another cavity is also to be seen with similar crystals of Rhodochrosite. A terrific specimen from the well known Wolf Mine.
