Rhodochrosite
ID: CC18
A beautiful specimen featuring three gemmy deep red Rhodochrosite crystals, the largest measuring over 2.5cm in length. The two main crystals are scalenohedral and have sceptre-like caps on their terminations - both are in perfect condition. The Rhodochrosites have grown on a layer of glossy black finely botryoidal Manganite, which gives a great contrasting background to the Rhodochrosites. Displays well. A very good example of a Peruvian Rhodochrosite with top colour for this location.
