A fine sparkling druse of scalenohedral Rhodochrosite crystals measuring to an average of 2-3mm richly covers a botryoidal black Mn-oxide matrix. Crystals of Rhodochrosite are very lustrous and mostly gemmy, with various shades of pink colour. A cracker of a small cabinet specimen from the N'Chwaning Mines, South Africa.
