An excellent specimen of Rhodochrosite from the Urhkatyn no3 Manganese Deposit, Kazakhstan. The Rhodochrosite has developed as a translucent botryoidal layer to around 1cm thick. The botryoidal surface of the Rhodochrosite displays a fair luster, covering a matrix of red Jasper and white Quartz. A fine example of botryoidal Rhodochrosite from this now closed location, with great colour!
