The main feature of the specimen is a broad bladed crystal of Azurite measuring to 2.8cm, partly enclosed in a shallow cavity surrounded by white Quartz and Cerussite. This and many other Azurite crystals on the specimen have been completely replaced by shades of green Malachite. The replacement fluids have become enriched in Zinc, and phase a of pseudomorphing has been deposited as Rosasite. The Rosasite varies in colour from rich dark blue-green to a pastel green.
