A large cavity, measuring 5 x 4.5 cm and up to 2cm deep, is exposed in the granular semi-translucent milky Quartz matrix. Within the cavity well formed prismatic Scorodite crystals have grown from the wall - lustrous and sky blue. Between the Scorodite crystals is a microcrystalline crust of yellowish-green Pharmacosiderite crystals, the lustre giving sparkle to the cavity. It is rare to have a good display specimen with Scorodite and Pharmacosiderite in combination, and this is one of the few really good combination specimens that we found during our recent (2006) mining operations.
