Richly adorned specimen of Siderite with Chalcopyrite on Quartz from the Virtuous Lady Mine, Devon. Abundant platy 'Fishscale' variety crystals of Siderite measure to 5mm, having a light biscuit colour with dark brown cores. On one side of the specimen a row of sphenoidal brassy yellow Chalcopyrite crystals measuring to 1.3cm can be seen on a white druse quartz formed on a previous phase of Siderite and Chalcopyrite. A slot-like development on the specimen may be a partial formation of a Baryte Epimorph. A fine Siderite/Chalcopyrite specimen from the mine.
