Probably one of the most famous epimorphs from the West Country mining province are the Siderite Box's from the Virtuous Lady Mine, Buckland Monachorum, Devon. The small cabinet specimen we have displays the characteristic inter grown fish scale habit Siderite, once formed over preexisting cubic crystals of Pyrite or Fluorite. Epimorphic impressions measuring to 2.8cm, have tiny crystals of Pyrite scattered and aggregated on and in the specimen. Siderite box's are probably the rarest of the two types of epimorphs from Virtuous Lady Mine.
