Probably one of the most recognisable Epimorphs from the Cornubian Orefield, are the Siderite Epimorphs after probable Baryte so-called Lady's Slippers from the Virtuous Lady Mine, Buckland Monachorum, Devon. The mine is dating back to at least Elizabethan period late 16th century. Many of these unusual Epimorphs are reputed to have mostly been found in the underground workings below the river Tavy. The specimen we have to offer is of good size 15cm tall with a rich brown colour associated with crystals of light metallic yellow Pyrite embedded in the Siderite. The specimen also comes with its own purpose made acrylic stand.
