Well developed lenticular crystals of Siderite measuring to 0.8cm richly cover the Quartz matrix, from the celebrated Virtuous Lady Mine, Devon. Crystals of lustrous tan-yellow Siderite are seen to be stacked upon each other to form raised crystal clusters. A single composite crystal group of brassy yellow Chalcopyrite is noted on one edge of the specimen measuring to 1.3cm. Siderite crystals mostly cover a white druse of Quartz. The underside of the specimen has a maroon coloured iron oxide inter mixed with white Quartz.
