An extremely rare specimen from Caradon Mines featuring dark brown Siderite crystals intergrown on two elongate white Quartz crystals with smaller crystals of Siderite, Quartz, and minor Chalcopyrite around the base. The Siderite crystals have variable silky lustre, and are quite well formed measuring to over 1.5cm. The two main Quartz crystals measure to 6.5cm in height, with the smaller crystals forming a divergent spray around their base. They have an opaque white outer rind with satin lustre over a translucent grey centre. This is the only good Siderite specimen we have had from this location, and is comparable to the one of display at the Natural History Museum in London. A super rare specimen for the Cornish collector.
