Very classic and exceedingly rare Cornish specimen from what is believed to be a singular find made at Wheal Maudlin, Lostwithiel in about 1820. The specimen consists of excellent, lustrous pseudohexagonal crystals of Horsetooth Siderite to 1.2cm, displaying the characteristic colour zoned concentric banding from light to dark brown, in association with lustrous colourless to white Quartz crystals. A truly super specimen from the find. The specimen also comes with two old labels, including a Bryce M. Wright label as well as its own purpose made display stand.
