A old rare specimen from the small Great Onslow Consols Mine on the western edge of Bodmin Moor, famed for specimens of Siderite. The small cabinet specimen we have displays inter grown prismatic with pinacoid Siderite crystals measuring to 1.4cm, and crystals of Quartz. Possessing a lustrous deep brick red colour. The reverse of the specimen shows cavities with further inter grown Siderite crystals, crystallized pale yellow Pyrite and Goethite included Quartz crystals. The specimen comes with an old label.
