A very bright yellow specimen of Smithsonite from the Sheshodonnell Mine, Co. Clare, Ireland, a site that has been mostly depleted of the classic yellow Smithsonite. The translucent yellow Smithsonite occupies the central area of a grey Limestone matrix, with a glistening micro-crystallized botryoidal surface. Many other linear cavities in the specimen are also lined with botryoidal Smithsonite. Now seldom seen specimen of this size from the mine.
