An exquisite specimen of Smithsonite from the ancient Lavrion mining district in Greece. The specimen displays a very brightly lustered translucent, almost colourless to white botryoidal to globular Smithsonite. A stalactitic filigree of black to brown Goethite is the supporting framework for the Smithsonite. A particularly stunning Smithsonite from the Lavrion District.
