A specimen of classic Kelly Mine Smithsonite, displaying the over all form to advantage. The Smithsonite has the much sought after delightful translucent silky sky blue colour. A characteristic bubbly surface composed of inter grown rounded crystal clusters is apparent. Calcite crystal clusters have formed on the Smithsonite. A thin matrix of typical Mn-Fe oxides from biscuit to deep brown colour completes the specimen of classic Kelly mine Smithsonite.
