Lustrous black inter grown crystals of Smithsonite from the Tsumeb Mine, Namibia.  On examination the Smithsonite crystals are composed of 'lenticular' habit stacked on one another, individual stacked crystals measuring to 8mm. The black colour imparted to the Smithsonite crystals is due to abundant inclusions of metallic grey sulphides. Crystals of white Quartz are to be seen on the reverse of the specimen, with naturally etched crystals of Enargite, and granular Galena.
