Clusters of rhombic to spherical Cuprian Smithsonite crystals adorn a Conichalcite and Cerussite rich matrix. The Smithsonite is lustrous and often gemmy, ranging from very pretty pale green through emerald to dark green. The Smithsonite has overgrown several translucent colourless crystals of Cerussite which measure to 15mm, and exhibit twinning. Conichalcite forms tiny dark green sparkling crystals on the matrix beneath the Smithsonite. Lots to see in this wonderful Tsumeb specimen.
