Sphalerite and Pyrite

ID: CC543

One large single Sphalerite crystal, exhibiting complex multistepped crystal faces, measuring 5.5cm across perched on matrix with small prismatic Quartz crystals. The Sphalerite crystal is sprinkled with well spaced microcrystals of Pyrite, forming an interesting display. The metallic lustre on this specimen is lovely, and very hard to portray in the photographs.
