A fine example of Sphalerite with Dolomite from the Troya Mine, Spain. The Sphalerite forms inter-grown ridges and clusters of complex faced crystals to 1.4cm. The colour of the Sphalerite is deep brown, with some translucent yellow areas, and are very lustrous. The Sphalerite is associated with creamy satiny luster Dolomite displaying typical saddle shaped crystals to nearly 1cm. Both minerals cover a light grey limestone. The mine developed a Mississippi Valley Type Lead-zinc sulfide deposit until 1993. A fine specimen from Spain.
