Sphalerite With Quartz

ID: CC1895

A very rare occurrence and habit of Sphalerite from Panasqueira, forming a ball-like crystal measuring to 30mm across which exhibits a wonderful vibrant silky sheen. Minor Arsenopyrite adds a pale golden sparkle to the Sphalerite, and Siderite is also present in small hexagonal crystals. The Sphalerite sits on several well defined clear Quartz crystals measuring to 40mm. A rare, well arranged and choice miniature.
