A light pink gemmy crystal of Kunzite 9.7cm tall from the Kunar Valley, Afghanistan. The crystal of Spodumene variety Kunzite is almost completely gemmy, with pronounced vertical striations on the two major faces, and is nicely terminated. A smaller terminated crystal makes an appearance at the bottom of the larger crystal, both have a vitreous to silky luster. The pleochroism is clearly displayed by the strong pink colour seen when the crystal is viewed down the c-axis.
