A fine archetypal specimen of Tetrahedrite coated in Chalcopyrite with Galena, from the celebrated Herodsfoot Mine, Lanreath, Cornwall. The crystals of metallic yellow Chalcopyrite coated Tetrahedrite display the classic tetrahedral habit of the mineral measuring to 1.2cm, and richly cover the typical drusy Quartz matrix. Metallic grey cubo-octahdral crystals of Galena are are seen inter grown with the crystals of Tetrahedrite. The underside of the specimen has an an area of cleaved bright metallic grey Galena.
