Titanite

ID: CC3524

A fine twin crystal of Titanite measuring to 2.6cm from the Medel Valley, Switzerland. The crystal of Titanite shows excellent lustre, with a green to slightly yellowish colour, and gemmy to translucent areas. Colourless to white crystals of Quartz are a fine contrast for the Titanite crystal. Black veinlets of possible Illmenite also cut the Quartz. A neat specimen from the area.
