An excellent example of fibrous brown Todorokite with Calcite. The Todorokite forms a continuous rich cross-fibrous vein to 5cm in width across the mid-section of the specimen. Cavities to 2.5cm are lined with sparkling translucent white Calcite crystals. The vein is bound on two sides by black Mn oxides. The specimen was originally attributed to the Wessels Mine, but in correspondence with the mine owner this is not correct - it actually comes form the Devon Mine which is a far rarer location for specimens.
