Variscite is a relatively rare mineral and this specimen is from the 2006 Boa Vista pegmatite find. The Variscite on this specimen occupies vugs on the contrasting white Albite matrix. The crystals are spheroidal, light pink in colour, quite translucent, exhibit vitreous luster and measure to 2mm in size.
