A very rich specimen of the Zinc Silicate Willemite from the classic specimen location of Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. The specimen has a ridged like form with the Willemite covering both sides. The very lustrous crystals are essentially colourless and gemmy - the dark colour seen is transmitted from the underlying matrix of Fe-oxides and white Dolomite. Larger elongate crystals of Willemite to 0.6cm stand out against the smaller crystals with a pale greenish tone. A rich example of Willemite from Tsumeb.
