A large chunky crystal of Wulfenite so typical of the location at M'Fouati, Republic of Congo. The crystal is dominated by development of the tetragonal pyramid, with growth of the flat pincoid. The crystal shows some striations on the pyramid faces, and stepped growth. The colour is light orange to pale yellow, and has a Fire Opal quality to the translucency of the crystal. Most of these crystals came out of the area in the 1950's-60's, and were invariable partly imperfect.
