$1750€1470£1286$1750
SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION

A very fine miniature of Pyromorphite from Bunker Hill mine at Kellogg in the Coeur d'Alene District of Shoshone County, Idaho, USA, with an eye-catching colour grading from lemon to acidic lemon yellow and greenish yellow, with all crystals having a bright lustre. The Pyromorphite crystals measure to almost 1 cm, displaying curved prism faces and varying degrees of hopper development at the terminations. The back of the specimen shows a colour variation from yellow to orange. Bunker hill mine in Idaho is surely one of the most famous and iconic mine in the USA, having been discovered in 1885. As collectors we associate it with world-class pyromorphites in so many colours, yet the mine actually produced several elements of economic significance including antimony, cadmium, cobalt, copper, gold, lead, phosphorous, silver, uranium and zinc.
