Rich intergrown tapering prismatic crystals of light lime green and white Pyromorphite measure to around 1 cm, thickly investing a red-brown gossan matrix from the Kabwe mine, Zambia. The Pyromorphite covers all sides of the matrix and forms as large thin elongated barrels and acicular needles, some of which radiate out from the larger crystals. A small paper label bearing the number 1054 is glued to the specimen and is accompanied with an old handwritten label in German. A lovely miniature Pyromorphite from Kabwe mine (formerly Broken Hill mine) in Zambia.
