A superb double terminated Brazilianite crystal with some attached white platy Feldspar from the Córrego Frio mine at Linópolis in Minas Gerais, Brazil; type locality for Brazilianite. The 4.4 cm long crystal is a characteristic yellow-lime green which varies from translucent near its centre to transparent and partly gemmy at its edges. The crystal displays growth patterns parallel to its length and has a glassy bright lustre. The Feldspar is most probably Albite, of the platy variety Cleavelandite.
