SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION

A fine, colour zoned Fluorite crystal measuring to 2.5 cm, with a light green core, surrounded by a middle zone of light transparent purple and an outer zone of pale green. The colours intensify in daylight due to mild natural fluorescence and under LWUV the entire crystal fluoresces bright lilac and purple. A most attractive cubic crystal of colour-zoned Fluorite from Heights mine near Westgate in Weardale, County Durham.
