SCHEELITE

SPECIMEN DESCRIPTION

A well-formed pseudo-octahedral crystal of translucent white Scheelite measuring to 2.6 cm displaying the characteristic white-blue fluorescence under UV light. The crystal of Scheelite has been attached to a turned wood pedestal by probable beeswax. From Horni Slavkov, Czech Republic, and comes with a wonderful old handwritten label which records the old locality name - Schlaggenwald.
