This lovely miniature specimen from Dalnegorsk in the far east of Russia is like a star burst. A 4 cm wide radial spray of sharp, pointed Calcite crystals is replaced (pseudomorphed) by sparkling beige Dolomite over which a scattering of white platy Calcite crystals measuring to around 5 mm has developed. A great miniature from this remote, but important mining region. Ex Bert Kessler.
