Rich fan-like groups of radiating acicular crystals are the feature of this Pyromorphite from the German location of the Friedrichssegen mine at Frücht in the Bad Ems region of Rhineland-Palatinate. The vertical, lustrous needle-like crystals lead upwards to groups of Pyromorphite crystals developed at various angles across the terminations of the acicular crystals. The Pyromorphite is a rich clove brown surmounted by the darker brown criss-crossing crystals. A superb specimen from the Friedrichssegen mine.
