A 3.2 cm long gnarled wire of Native Gold weighing 2.6 g from the El Infierno mine, Santa Elena de Uairen, Bol'var, Venezuela. The gold appears very pure by its rich metallic golden-gold colour and has attached two sub-mm patches of milky-white Quartz. Under low magnification crystalline features can be seen in the surface texture of this attractive little specimen.
