This magnificent large plate of Pyromorphite is a stunner. Coming from the famous Bad Ems District in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany it has the typical pale brown-pink colour that is so sought after. Not only that, but it is solid pure Pyromorphite and in stunning overall condition. Forming a bed of dense hexagonal hoppered prismatic crystals, larger crystals rise up, and other sit upon the surface like corals on the sea floor. Subtle colour zonation from the darker prism sides to the paler flat terminations adds to the beauty and wonder as the specimen is turned in the light. At 10 x 10 cm across on its main display face it is extremely displayable, and with individual crystals reaching 1 cm in length this is an important European Pyromorphite from one of the leading historic occurrences.
