A choice and highly aesthetic small miniature lime-green Fluorite from the famous Huanzala mine in the remote high Andes mountains in Huánuco Department, Peru. Known since at lease the 1970s, this mine has produced some of the world's most remarkable large crystallized Pyrite specimens and spectacular Fluorite too in a variety of colours. This gorgeous miniature specimen features a complex, stepped, octahedral crystal on a snowy-white matrix made-up from millimetre size globular aggregates of micro-crystals. The Fluorite is a composite crystal, whereby it is built from individually recognizable cubic micro-crystals to form a single octahedral crystal, analogous to cuboid blocks of stone forming the Egyptian pyramids. A fascinatingly complex and beautiful Fluorite specimen from Peru.
